Recipe Baking: QUICK STEAK ITALIANO
4 beef cubed steaks
1 tbsp. oil
4 oz. bulk Italian sausage
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
3/4 c. apple juice or cider
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. dried oregano, crushed
2 tbsp. cornstarch
Hot buttered noodles
Parmesan cheese
In skillet, brown steaks in hot oil; remove from pan. In skillet, cook
sausage and onion until meat is browned; drain. Add tomato sauce, juice,
garlic salt, oregano and pepper. Heat and stir to boiling. Add steaks to
skillet. Cover. Simmer 10 minutes. Remove meat; keep warm. Mix
cornstarch and 2 tablespoons cold water; stir into skillet. Cook and
stir until bubbly. Toss noodles with parsley flakes, if desired. Serve
meat with sauce over noodles. Top with Parmesan cheese, if desired.

OVEN ROUND STEAK CASSEROLE
2 lb. round steak, cut
in serving
pieces
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. corn oil
3 lg. potatoes
1 bay leaf
1 can diluted tomato soup or mushroom
soup
Roll steak in flour and brown in oil. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Place steak in a large casserole. Saute onion in fat and spread over
meat. Add peeled potatoes cut in half to meat and onions. Add bay leaf
and diluted soup. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour covered.
